Our hands touch everything — from doorknobs, phones, and money to countless other surfaces that carry germs. Without realizing it, we sometimes use those same hands to touch parts of our bodies that are sensitive and exposed, which can lead to infections, irritation, or skin problems.

1. Your Face (especially eyes, nose, and mouth)
Your face is one of the most common places people touch without thinking — whether it’s to scratch, rub, or adjust makeup. But your eyes, nose, and mouth are entry points for viruses and bacteria.
Why you should avoid: Touching your face can transfer germs directly into your body, increasing your chances of getting colds, flu, pimples, or even COVID-19.
2. Inside Your Ears
