Wike Should Watch His Tongue, He Is Just Like Bianca Ojukwu Who Is Working Under Our Govt -Aliyu

APC chieftain Farouk Aliyu has alleged that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike’s current position as a minister in President Bola Tinubu’s government gives him no special status above any other political appointee serving under the administration.

Speaking on Arise TV on Thursday, September 17, 2026, Aliyu said the political situation in 2023 was completely different from what it is now, adding that Wike was not part of the All Progressives Congress at the time.

“2023 is completely different from now. Wike wasn’t part of us in 2023, but now he’s a minister in our government. Wike should watch his tongue, he is just like Bianca Ojukwu, who is from another party but serving in our government,” he said.

Aliyu likened Wike’s status to that of Bianca Ojukwu, who is a member of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, but is currently serving as a minister in the Tinubu administration. According to him, being a minister does not confer superiority over other appointees or party members.

Aliyu stated that his concerns about Wike go beyond party politics but border on the minister’s general conduct and manner of engaging with people and party stakeholders.

He noted that many prominent political figures in the APC have grown deeply dissatisfied with the way Wike speaks and handles issues, particularly his public attacks on party leaders and governors.

He further argued that the APC will not sacrifice its members’ political ambitions for a Rainbow Coalition reportedly being set up by the FCT Minister to advance his own interests ahead of 2027.

Aliyu said the ruling party has its own structures and loyal members who worked for the victory of President Tinubu in 2023 and should not be sidelined to accommodate Wike’s political moves in Rivers State and beyond.

The comments come amid growing tension between Wike and some APC governors and chieftains who have accused the former Rivers State governor of acting as if he is above the party despite still being a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
