According to a video from 1:25 shared on Facebook on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church Worldwide spoke about the political situation in Rivers State and the activities of the Rainbow Coalition ahead of the 2027 election.
Ayodele specifically addressed supporters of former Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, advising them to be cautious about joining the political coalition because of what he described as its position toward Nyesom Wike.
The cleric stated, “Fubara supporters should not join the Rainbow Coalition because they will not support Nyesom Wike,” while discussing the political interests surrounding the coalition.
According to Ayodele, supporters of Fubara should carefully consider the political implications of associating with the Rainbow Coalition, particularly because of the relationship between the group and Wike.
He suggested that the political interests of the coalition may not align with the expectations of those supporting Wike, making it important for Fubara’s supporters to understand the situation before taking a position.
Ayodele’s comments come amid preparations for the 2027 election, as political groups and their supporters continue to consider alliances that could shape the contest in Rivers State and other parts of the country.
He concluded by advising Fubara’s supporters to exercise caution and examine the interests of the Rainbow Coalition before deciding whether to join the group.
