Former Speaker of the House of Representatives and former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, has said his nearly four decades in Nigerian politics have not exposed him to a president whose plans for the country he considers better than those of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to The Sun, Masari made the remark while discussing the direction of the Tinubu administration and criticisms of its performance since taking office.
According to him, his long involvement in Nigerian politics has allowed him to observe different administrations and their approaches to governing the country.
The former governor also dismissed claims that the Tinubu administration had failed to make meaningful progress, noting that previous governments faced similar criticisms during their early years in office.
Masari argued that administrations are often subjected to public scrutiny as citizens assess their policies, programmes and decisions.
He specifically took issue with people who claim that the Tinubu government has done nothing since assuming office, saying such views fail to recognise what he described as positive developments.
“The people who claim that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done nothing are the kind of people who never appreciate when someone is doing well,” he said.
