Kwara Bandit Threat: ‘I Have A House I Can’t Enter’ –Rev Omolehin Reveals Life In Hiding

Rev. Isaac Omolehin, founder of Word Assembly Ministries, has revealed how a bandit threat in Kwara State forced him, his wife and children to abandon their home and move between different locations for safety.

Omolehin said the situation began after security operatives warned residents at his ministry camp in Idofian, Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state, to evacuate following intelligence about a possible bandit attack.

According to a report by PMNews on Sunday, September 27, 2026, the warning resulted in more than 100 people leaving the facility, which accommodates an orphanage, schools, a hospital, an old people’s home and a rehabilitation centre.

The cleric said the suspected bandits eventually reached the facility but found that everyone had already left.

Since the evacuation, Omolehin said he has been unable to return home and has instead been moving from one location to another with his family because authorities have yet to confirm that the area is safe.

Describing the impact of the security threat on his personal life, Omolehin said:

“I have a house I can’t enter. I have a car I can’t ride. I have to hide myself from the public. If I sleep here today, I’ll sleep somewhere else tomorrow. I’m homeless with my wife and children.”

He appealed to the Federal Government and the Kwara State Government to improve security around the facility so that he, his family and the vulnerable people under his care can safely return.
