Analyst Ike Chidolue has said that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, claimed President Bola Tinubu had given him an indication about where he could hand over power after his tenure.
Chidolue made the statement during an interview on TVC News while discussing the disagreement between Wike and some governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Chidolue, Wike had said that if the governors knew what he discussed privately with President Tinubu about them, they would be embarrassed. He also said Wike claimed that the president had personally given him some assignments because he did not trust certain governors with them.
Chidolue said the political disagreements should be managed and advised Wike to be more careful with his public statements.
In his words, “Wike is the one who came on TV and said that the president had assured him that he’s not going to hand over to anybody in the northeast or Northwest, that he’s handing over to the North Central, and he’s looking at Senator Saraki and him.
